    Cannon’s Cottages are ideally located on one of the most beautiful white sand beaches on Longboat Key- a stay in one of the quaint cottages is like being on your own private island- a true slice of old Florida. It’s also awesome having the marina just steps away- the crew can hook you up with a quality charter boat and in minutes you can be exploring the amazing water ways and little islands that dot the coast…this is a vacaction destination that should not be missed….perfect in any season.

    Although I’ve never stayed at Cannons Cottages, my mom has, and absolutely loved it! It was quiet, serene, very Old Florida style accommodations and the best beach view and beach she’s seen.

    If I didn’t live a mile away from the cottages, I would stay there myself. Hey, maybe we could have a girls weekend there!!!!

    My husband and I stayed at your lovely resort many years ago, and just loved it. We felt as if we had gone to our own private island getaway. Your beaches and cottages are first rate, and your location still allowed us to go shopping, dining, and dancing as well as giving my huband the opportunity to boat and fish to his heart’s content.
    So glad to see you are still there, and better than ever it appears. Maybe it’s time to schedule another vacation with you.

    Going back 28(!!!!) years, I can tell you that there is no place that is as magical as the Cannons Cottages. I’m reluctant to share this little magical spot on earth: IT’S MINE! That these DIVINE little cottages, and I’ve spent countless weeks in each and every one of them, maintain their authenticity when so much of the world is turned on its’ ear, is a testament to their amazing owners, David and Lucille Miller. There is absolutely nowhere else that I’ve seen on this earth that can match the magic of this simple, yet stunning little paradise. Surrounded by some of the best restaurants in Florida–the country, really, as well as having the convenience of the boat yard across the street to cruise the waters, amazing golf within minutes, and the MOST amazing white powder sand beaches I’ve ever set foot on, there just IS NO PLACE LIKE CANNONS!!!

    I’m a native Floridian but have been in Southern California for 22 years. Since leaving Florida we returned home and have stayed in many beach rentals along the gulf coast. Cannons by the Sea is one of the most enjoyable. It still has all the charm of the old Florida I remember; it was quite, hidden away and with all the comforts of home. When I wanted to get out, I found stores and restaurants close by. The cottage was clean and comfortable. This is a sweet place I will be sure to visit again.
